just bought a pcp pump from filarms. same item as shown by junN in his pic of his filarms cb. this afternoon, found the air tank of my cb empty. got my brand new pcp hand pump and charge the empty air cylinder (filarm reg tank). pumping is easy until the manometer went up to 2000 psi and i could not pump it no matter what. what i did is open the release valve. remove the cylinder from the adapter/connector. rest the pump for a while and let it cool because it's hot. attached again the reg tank and start pumping. to my surprise when the manometer hits 2000 psi, there was no resistance what so ever in pumping. so i continue pumping and progressively, pumping becomes harder and harder but tolerable until i reach 3200 psi. comments on the built quality: strong, sturdy and heavy for a small pump. no loose parts seen or felt. not as polished as those imported ones but hey it work for me. on how long it will last, i don't know but they say if it breaks down return it they will fix it. the manometer attached is us made. this are my observation and any comments on what happen during the 2000 psi thing pls let me know. really i could not push the handle down to pump so i open the release valve.

i put silicone oil (shock oil 60 from tamiya) around the pump rod and it's much softer to pump this time. a lot softer!

One thing that have always puzzle me is why such a pump is so expensive. I know it must be expensive to make because air compressors in hardware stores can manage upto 150-250psi or so only. And upto what pressure can a bicycle pump be modified to deliver?
Another question is what pressure are the pumps in footpump airguns capable of?
Any input or estimated figures?
