ganda sana if we could have a very comprehensive list of local airguns: from PCP to well known C02 brands, small name makers, and those pump and spear/fishing airguns. yung parang blue book of AG ng Beeman pero only pinoy made. Ang dami siguro models, coz AGs have special place in for pinoy especially those living in barrios.

Mang Pepe's creation. The Airgun pictured below is a product proudly made in Davao. It is considered as collectors item by veteran air gunners here in Davao. Only a handful has been made by Mang Pepe over the years. Basic Specs: Caliber: .22 Barrel: Brass Power plant: CO2 Air reservoir: Brass These airguns are so custom made as per customer's specs that the barrel length varies from person to person. One thing notable about the gun is the under level thingying mechanism. And since mostly made of brass, you don't have to worry about rust. There are units from long time owners who bring back their guns to Mang Pepe after 5 years of being stored and to our surprise it still has CO2 and shoots like brand new. This gun was designed during the time that hunting was popular, so it is compact and well balanced. There is also a bolt action variant of this gun. Hopefully we will be able to add more pictures of the AG's made by Mang Pepe. The following pictures below is the one Mang Pepe keeps, don't be fooled this gun is over 20 years old. I know this for a fact because, I have always wanted this when I first saw it. This version has the old-school pump and the CO2 tank, best of both worlds so to speak. i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii50/jrbm1065/07082008277-001.jpg"] Here a full side view. The barrel is 23" long. i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii50/jrbm1065/07082008274-001.jpg"] The bolt fully cycled by lowering the lever (Old School!), this is also the time you load a pellet. i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii50/jrbm1065/07082008275-001.jpg"] Closed and ready for firing. Check out the nice checkering also done by Mang Pepe i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii50/jrbm1065/07082008278-001.jpg"] Closer look at the Barrel, Air Reservior and pump all brass (less maintenance). This is even un-polished at the moment and has not seen regular use but still shines for the camera. i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii50/jrbm1065/07082008276-001.jpg"] Other side view. Very sleek design. i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii50/jrbm1065/07082008273-001.jpg"]

I sell airguns including footpump models pero I would like to have a custom one, preferably bolt action. I can ask one of my suppliers to make me a custom one but I have a sentimental reason for wanting a Davao made one. I spent 3 of my childhood years in Davao City when my father was employed by Columbia Sawmill. I use to watch ships pass by and people shooting airguns. Kinda of nostalgic. I miss Davao City and when I go to General Santos about 14 years ago, instead of Cebu, I travel via Davao City. I hope someone can help. Kung hindi na gumagawa si Mang Pepe maybe some other Davaoeno still makes them. My cel # is 0927 2300 737

We are actually in partnership with him to develop the new PCP airguns which is gaining ground in popularity in the country and since there is still more clamor for the previous CO2 models he makes we may make limited numbers for it. Here's a link to more of Mang Pepe's Guns in this link.

Bro James, There is actually a version of this rifle which is in bolt-action, though mang pepe is not in production of this particular model the bolt action is easier to make. We are actually in partnership with him to develop the new PCP airguns which is gaining ground in popularity in the country and since there is still more clamor for the previous CO2 models he makes we may make limited numbers for it. Here's a link to more of Mang Pepe's Guns in this link.I understand that the hammer type and the CDO side-lever type are better models. Pero like I said, for personal and sentimental reasons kasi. Pero I would be interested in other variants kung maganda ang gawa basta pump. Regarding PCP, I have "advised" a manufacturer here in Manila to "upgrade" their footpump models into something closer to a PCP kahit na 600-700 FPS lang power range. And I just visited the link you gave me and Pepe's footpump is 790FPS? If so, I underestimated the power of footpumps and this only makes me want one more. Possible kaya? I sell airsoft and airguns and I can help promote. My interest in a local production of the PCP is to make it more affordable to the masses. Hopefully, PCP-looking airguns should be more appealing to airgunners than footpumps. In essence, just by separating the pump from the footpump, they already have a crude new PCP. They may need to device their own semi-regulated firing mechanism to make shot consistency more stable. I don't know if they will pursue pero right now I am not very interested kasi whenever they have excess inventory, they drop their retail prices so dealers like me are affected. I prefer to sell a brand eevn if the margin is small kung iyan talaga ang price niya at hindi pabago bago. Anyway, I hope you keep us updated on the PCP kasi the cheapest so far is around P12,500 retail without the pump. Sana you can come up with a cheaper version and I wish you luck. An affordable local PCP should give airgunning a boost. Urban youths, kahit na sa provincial cities/municipalities, seems to shy away from airguns with pumps attached to the gun. BTW, I've been searching the net for quite sometime for local airgun forum pero was not successful. I have been thinking of creating an airgun forum and lack of time to promote is only what kept me from doing so. Then suddenly, yesterday, boom . . . hobbiesforum.proboards popped up in my search (I forgot the keywords used). Anyway, nice to know one exists and I'd rather just support this forum. I may still create my own forum but for a different purpose and you can expect me to refer/hotlink viewers to this forum if it is OK. More power and keep us updated on the PCP project

Bro so far the cost of making a PCP, it is much more costly the CO2 guns for the main reason that it has a higher working pressure, meaning material strength should always be taken into consideration. CO2 requries less that is why we can do away with cheaper material cost.

You're most welcome in this forum bro, and you can always hotlink to this forum. As a matter of fact, Since you are selling online we can setup a section so you can post stuff that can be airgun related. Just send me a PM so I can set it-up.
Cheers!

My airguns just arrived. OEM manufactured and temporarily marketing it under "SS" brand. This is the Fieldmaster. Pelelt is loaded via the swing gate which some more serious airgunners prefer because the pellet is loaded directly into the barrel from where it will be fired. No more pushing by the metal bolt which may damage or deform the soft-lead pellet. The mechanism used here is similar to those used in competition air-guns. Eto naman SS Tactical HG. Classical bolt action. This is the same model that I used to sell without the ribbed handguard but longer stock. This is the SS Tactical MK1. Pistol grip design pero same mechanism as the bolt action above except for the larger diameter tank. These are Eskopeta Airguns (Estrella-Parco Roots) Foot pump model Footpump-CO2 combination

I think what is needed in the airgun market is one with a built-in pump (foot pump or whatever) that is capable of reaching higher pressures like that of PCP air rifles. What is neede is just a design upgrade of the old single-stage pump system into one with multi-stage pumping system. A pressure gauge could also be installed to monitor proper air charge. This design would eliminate the necessity of a scuba tank or a separate foot pump. I know this newly designed air rifle needs to be fairly affordable, reliable, strong and maintenance-friendly in order for it to be attractive for most folks especially in the rural areas.

One of my very first airguns was a Philippine-made foot pump style branded as "GARCO". Did anyone else had a similar gun? I was only 10 years old then and I didn't really have much tecnical information about that gun. Although I almost shot myself in the head with it when it accidentally fired when I dropped the rifle butt on the ground I did love that gun very much. I used to make my own lead pellets for it too and they worked good enough to shoot monkeys and Iguanas where there was still that small forested area in Sibulan River. Unfortunately, that wildlife-rich forest was cleared when they built the San Miguel Brewery plant in that area in the 80's.
