Good day fellow kiters!
Finally we now had a chance to fly the kites the weather was good today with gusty winds though its not the best but it was good enough.
Our Hunch was right the bridle on the kite is not ready to fly!!!!:-( We had to re-bridle and test and finally got the right setup. Here are some pictures to share with you.
Brought a few of the kites for testing different bridle setups and finally got the ideal one with the most response:
My flying buddy, Carlo of Carlos kites (if you go to Davao, he has a small shop at Mapa St.) Busy at changing the bridling that we think is best for the kite.
Here you can see our neophyte flier Awing, and it will be his first time to fly a stunt kite helping out Carlo to learn more.
That's me with one of the kites ready for test flight and wind is picking up. Attaching the flying lines to the tow points.
Off to the field, soooo hooot! and forgot to bring a hat!!! Who the hell cares! its Flying time!
**I'll post a video with Carlo flying the kite. The wind was not that consistent in our location so the test flight was not that long. the kite really needs consistent wind the kind enought to move a flag (in our schools flagpole)sideways**
And here is a pic of our neophyte, the kite can be used for teaching newbies to stunt kite flying! Yahoo! here Awing was having a blast! Glad to know he is enjoying and having fun!
Now that all the four kites we brought were rebridled we moved to a much better location hehehehe guerilla kite flying tactics time! There's a horse racetrack practice oval near where we are flying and off we go "ober d bakod" (actually just tall grass!)
The location proved to be a good one the wind had no obstructing trees and was more consistent that the initial field we were in.
**I'll Add a video of me flying here after I'm done loading.**
Overall the kite is a good beginner kite that will not break your budget though it would require a good consistent wind so you will enjoy it.
And there will be some adjustment that need to be made to the kite. I intend to sell them (for those who want) already adusted and pre tested to fly. Make flying straps for it as well and a proper winder to go with it and balance the flying lines. I plan to sell them at Php1,000.00 and have limited quantities. I did mention in an earlier post that I was planning on selling them cheaper but I think 1K is a fair deal considering the stuff I have to do get the most out of it. Shipping not included by the way.
Hope you enjoyed the review, videos to follow. . .
