Well it's the "in" thing for now and my kids are bugging me about it. So instead of going back again and again to "googling the sites" might as well put in the useful links I have come across to learn more about this interesting creatures.

Animal Care/Land Hermit Crabs - nice link has all the basic information you would need to get to know what you are dealing with.

There are actually two common species that is available in the pet trade here are a couple of links:

Caribbean Hermit Crabs - I think this is the one that is most commonly sold here in Davao.

Ecuadorian Hermit Crab - Here's another specie that is available in the pet trade but not sure if those are also sold here.

www.podgastro.com - A personal website by an avid hermit crab owner. Nice inputs

Hermit Crab Club - Another site with good info.
