Davao has a lot of airguneros and mostly are into hunting. Though we do not promote nor condone it. We want to provide another outlet for this hobby which a lot of old timers are setting aside for one or several reasons.
There were target ranges in the past, but most were geared on the 10-meter format. We would like to introduce FT-Field target, MS-Metallic Silhouette and Bench Rest shooting disciplines. These require distances from 20-85 yards but the most common is the 20-50 yard range. If one wanted to join competitions, they have to go to CDO or Cebu to join.
We are currently looking for a place here in Davao that would allow airguneros to convene and shoot and meet fellow enthusiast. Since most of the target ranges here are aimed at FA shooters. We would like to have a dedicated range for AG shooting.
Just today, I have finally been able to talk to an old friend who is willing to help in finding an area. I have already discussed the idea and we may have a positive response on this.
I do hope this would push through so that we can finally have a place to call our own and in the future invite fellow airguneros from other areas. It will an long process but with the support of fellow enthusiasts I believe this can be done.
