Let's try and dismantle an armscor brand C02 Airgun, the procedure will work for The Standard, Executive and Retractable models.
For this one, we will be using an armscor executive model.
TOOLS:
To accomplish the task, we will need basic tools, below is what I used. A plier, a screwdriver flat/philips, a small screwdriver, an allen, a tweezer, a hook, and a large and long flat screwdriver. You'll see what that is for later. It is also a nice idea to have some plastic container(s) to put small parts in.
Now fun part, Lets start by dismantling the two main sections of the airgun. Unscrew the nut that holds the wooden stock from the action.
Set aside the nut so you won't lose it.
Hold the wooden stock on the fore end and the action near the fill port and pull in opposite directions.
Here you now have the Action (top) and the wooden stock (bottom) separated. Set Aside the stock as we will be working on the action.
NOTE: Before proceeding make sure that the gun has been emptied of CO2. You can dry fire it till you use out the air, Once that is done you can proceed to the following steps.
Separating the Barrel from the action will involve removing a few screws and the air intake/fill valve.
First we need to remove the fill valve by unscrewing the retaining cap.
Unscrew by hand or use a pliers so you can also pull it out after unscrewing.
Loosen the screw on the barrel band
Remove the screw that joins the receiver and the barrel, you will need an allen screw for this one.
Once that is removed you can slide out the barrel. Set aside the screws so you won't lose it.
Here's the barrel band removed from the barrel. This type of barrel band should only be loosened and pulled out from the tube, don't pry it open, it breaks easily. That is why you need to remove the air intake valve in the first place. There is a new style of barrel band that Armscor use in its new batches.
Now we need to remove to the trigger box.
We need to push out a couple of retaining pins to be able to remove the internal parts. The reason we need to remove the parts is for us to be able to access a bolt that holds plug holding the hammer spring and spring guide.
First, you need to push out the pin that holds the trigger spring. Use a very small screw driver or nail. NOTE: you can only push the pins to one side, if it doesn't budge try the other side.
Once the pin protrudes on the other side use a plier to pull it out. Note the round object held by the pin. It's a spring cap, you better block that with your finger while pulling the pin or it will fly out.
Once the pin is out, you can remove the cap and see the spring.
Pry the spring out with a small screw driver or hook.
Next we push out the pin that holds the trigger. In this case, the pin goes out the other way.
Pull the pin out.
Once the pin is out you can pull the trigger out of the trigger box.
Here you have the main trigger parts removed.
Next step will be to remove the trigger box. (to be continued..)
Just a teaser, this is the disassembled pic of an Armscor CO2 Airgun.
